• Pennsylvania Licensed Professional Counselor (2015)
• Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (2011)
• Certified Family-Based Clinician (2012)Clinical Philosophy / Approach to CareThroughout my career at Delaware Guidance Services, I have worked with children, adolescents, and families experiencing behavioral health crises, many of whom face complex mental health, trauma, family, and social challenges.
As a Crisis Supervisor, I provide clinical oversight and consultation to a statewide mobile crisis response team while collaborating with schools, hospitals, law enforcement, and community partners to ensure youth and families receive timely, coordinated, and compassionate care. My clinical approach is grounded in systems theory, recognizing that emotional well-being is deeply influenced by the quality of our relationships and the environments in which we live, and I strive to understand each client within the context of their family, school, community, culture, and support systems while creating a safe, authentic, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and understood. Using a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach, I help individuals and families build resilience, strengthen relationships, improve communication, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Personal Interests / Fun Facts
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me spending time with my sorority sisters, friends, and family, making memories with the people I care about most. I enjoy trying new experiences and consider myself a calculated risk taker who is always open to stepping outside my comfort zone and embracing new adventures. One fun fact about me is that I’m a self proclaimed blue crab enthusiast and maybe even a bit of a blue crab snob because I only want the big, heavy, meaty ones! I often joke that if I come back in another life, it will probably be as a blue crab.
What Do You Enjoy About Your Work with DGSWhat I enjoy most about my work with DGS is the opportunity to help children and families create meaningful change through the unique support and intervention that crisis services provide.
I also value the opportunity to develop clinicians by teaching new skills, strengthening the abilities they already possess, and preparing them to succeed in their current positions and future roles.

Clinical Philosophy / Approach to Care
I have been a frontline worker since the beginning of my career, handing crisis’s both over a hotline and in-person. I thrive under pressure and always prioritize a trauma-informed approach. This helps me meet children and families where they are and help them get back to where they want to be. Growing up in Delaware for most of my youth, it is my mission to help those within my community with the same care and patience if I were speaking to my younger self. It is so important to lead everyday with kindness and care to my fellow human beings. As someone completing my degree in social work, I also have a profound interest in equality and equity for all and make a priority of staying aware in order to advocate for those who are often silenced.
Personal Interests / Fun Facts
I love to cook and have been cooking meals for my family since I was around 9 years old! I also love to dance (mostly in private so I can immerse myself without judgement of others). My wind-down routine each evening often consists of a good hour of dance, a walk with my best friend (since elementary school, still close as ever), a cuddle with my 3 doggies, and a home-cooked meal! Some guilty pleasures include reality TV and The Sims 4, which I can spend days on end playing.
What Do You Enjoy About Your Work with DGS
DGS has given me so many opportunities to further my education and experience. In my time here, I have met and gotten acquainted with most if not all school administration, counselors, and of course many families and youth. It is the best feeling in the world to be recognized as the person who helped someone through a tough time, even if it is a little smile and wave as I am walking through the school to check on kids. DGS and MRSS provide a vital part of community resource and assistance, and I genuinely feel we have worked collaboratively to save countless lives.
