| • Certified Family-Based Clinician (2012) | Clinical Philosophy / Approach to Care | Throughout my career at Delaware Guidance Services, I have worked with children, adolescents, and families experiencing behavioral health crises, many of whom face complex mental health, trauma, family, and social challenges. |
| As a Crisis Supervisor, I provide clinical oversight and consultation to a statewide mobile crisis response team while collaborating with schools, hospitals, law enforcement, and community partners to ensure youth and families receive timely, coordinated, and compassionate care. My clinical approach is grounded in systems theory, recognizing that emotional well-being is deeply influenced by the quality of our relationships and the environments in which we live, and I strive to understand each client within the context of their family, school, community, culture, and support systems while creating a safe, authentic, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and understood. Using a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach, I help individuals and families build resilience, strengthen relationships, improve communication, and create meaningful, lasting change. |
| Personal Interests / Fun Facts |
| When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me spending time with my sorority sisters, friends, and family, making memories with the people I care about most. I enjoy trying new experiences and consider myself a calculated risk taker who is always open to stepping outside my comfort zone and embracing new adventures. One fun fact about me is that I’m a self proclaimed blue crab enthusiast and maybe even a bit of a blue crab snob because I only want the big, heavy, meaty ones! I often joke that if I come back in another life, it will probably be as a blue crab. |
| What Do You Enjoy About Your Work with DGS | What I enjoy most about my work with DGS is the opportunity to help children and families create meaningful change through the unique support and intervention that crisis services provide. |
| I also value the opportunity to develop clinicians by teaching new skills, strengthening the abilities they already possess, and preparing them to succeed in their current positions and future roles. |
