Testimonials

"I wanted to take a minute to share how amazing it has been to work with Amanda Amodeo, Outpatient Therapist. "

It is my belief that too often in today's world, we are quick to reach out when we have a complaint yet fail to acknowledge those who deserve recognition for going above and beyond. Thus, I wanted to take a minute to share how amazing it has been to work with Amanda Amodeo, Outpatient Therapist.  I have had the pleasure of working collaboratively with Mrs. Amodeo for years—and it often seems as though we share some of the most "challenging" student clients. Her responsiveness is unparalleled!! Ms. Amodeo embraces the old saying, "It takes a Village...", and I am so thankful when she is part of any GMS student's Village and journey!!

“Before Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, everyday activities felt overwhelming because of my son’s behavior."

Through the program, I learned how powerful even five minutes of special play time can be. By following his lead and changing my own approach, our relationship grew stronger and his behavior improved tremendously.”

“Tanisha Showell, Crisis Clinician – You’re an amazing counselor!! "

My child is so comfortable with you. You're God-sent and I’m so happy you were brought to us!!!

Outpatient counseling—often called “talk therapy”—helps children and teens work through emotional, behavioral, and life challenges with the support of a trained counselor.

Our goal is to help children heal, build coping skills, and develop healthy ways to manage challenges so they can thrive at home, in school, and in their communities.
