Delaware Guidance Services for Children and Youth, Inc. (DGS) is a highly regarded, non-profit mental health agency that annually serves over 10,000 children and youth across the state of Delaware.
DGS is pleased to post available positions for our two-year advanced clinical training program designed to train master’s level graduates to become competent clinicians and obtain licensure.
This is the only program of its kind in the area that provides skill development in core clinical competencies and the opportunity to practice these skills in a family-based child guidance setting. We are currently seeking a diverse group of qualified master’s level trainees to participate in this program. Candidates must have already finished their graduate education or be on target to graduate within 6 months.
Trainees will be expected to carry a caseload of clients approximately 3/4 the size of a full-time clinician. Trainees will receive a minimum of one hour weekly supervision, and up to three hours of group supervision per week from highly qualified and experienced licensed therapists. Four hours of training per week will also be provided on core competencies and skill development to provide quality treatment services.
